We are a 120-bed facility located in the beautiful woods of Columbia County. A leading senior care provider in the area we are conveniently located in close proximity to the Taconic State Parkway, offering a very peaceful commute.

The Line Cookis an important part of our care team. They oversee the preparation and service of three daily meals for our residents. This is a great position for someone looking to enter the culinary, food service, or catering industries.

Responsibilities Include:

• Timely preparation and service of meals
• Handle food by safety standards
• Follow all sanitation standards
• Consistently utilize standardized recipes and portion control.
• Responsible for the supervision of the kitchen when in the absence of a supervisor/director
• Prepare meals in accordance with dietary and consistency requirements
• Assist with special functions
• Maintain and assure cleanliness and safe operation of equipment in all work areas
• Maintain logs for refrigerators/freezers and food temperatures.
• Be a role model for staff to follow and maintain a positive work environment
• Be cost-efficient and productive.
• Promote and follow facility policies, rules, and regulations.

Required qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old or older
• Ability to supervise and lead others
• Previous experience in the food service industry
  

·Day shift available.
AM Shift 5:30 am to 1:30 pm

Requires every other weekend availability.
