About the Position

The Cooper’s Hawk Line Cook is essential to the company's success, responsible for executing a positive guest experience through the preparation and presentation of food at various stations including pantry, fry, grill, broil, and sauté.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain quality standards by preparing recipes as specified
  • Follow recipes, control portions, and ensure presentation standards
  • Set up and restock stations as needed
  • Use KDS system effectively to manage cook times
  • Assist in cleaning and sanitation of kitchen and storage areas
  • Maintain kitchen equipment in optimal condition
  • Ensure safety, sanitation, and organization at all times
  • Communicate professionally with Managers and Team Members
  • Follow operational checklists for opening, mid-shift, and closing
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Must embody Cooper’s Hawk Values
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • At least 6 months of line cook experience in upscale casual dining or similar environment
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Basic professional cooking and knife skills, including use of cut-glove
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for up to 10 hours
  • Comfort with working in wet, hot, noisy conditions
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency in English reading, writing, and understanding
