Responsibilities
- Maintain quality standards by preparing recipes as specified
- Follow recipes, control portions, and ensure presentation standards
- Set up and restock stations as needed
- Use KDS system effectively to manage cook times
- Assist in cleaning and sanitation of kitchen and storage areas
- Maintain kitchen equipment in optimal condition
- Ensure safety, sanitation, and organization at all times
- Communicate professionally with Managers and Team Members
- Follow operational checklists for opening, mid-shift, and closing
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must embody Cooper’s Hawk Values
- Minimum 18 years of age
- At least 6 months of line cook experience in upscale casual dining or similar environment
- Team-oriented mindset
- Basic professional cooking and knife skills, including use of cut-glove
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for up to 10 hours
- Comfort with working in wet, hot, noisy conditions
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in English reading, writing, and understanding
