Truckee Tavern, located in historic downtown Truckee, is seeking experienced sauté and grill cooks plus prep cooks who share our passion for thoughtful, from-scratch food in a warm, professional kitchen.

Earn $20-24/hour, share tips with back-of-house, and enjoy full health benefits after 90 days, daily shift meals, and real opportunities to advance within our restaurant group as part of a team rooted in the Truckee community.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years in fast-paced, from-scratch kitchens.
• Sauté and grill experience required.
• Team player with communication and cleanliness.
• Must have or be willing to obtain Food Handler’s Certificate.

Responsabilités

• Assist prep cooks and maintain prep station.

What We’re Looking For:

• Skilled line cooks (sauté and grill especially) with 1-2+ years of experience in a fast-paced, from-scratch kitchen
• Organized prep cooks with strong fundamentals and a desire to learn
• Team players who value cleanliness, consistency, and communication
• Cooks who follow recipes and execute with care and pride
• Professionals who show up with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Requirements:

• Must have (or be willing to obtain) a valid Food Handler’s Certificate
• Must wear black jeans or slacks and non-slip, closed-toe black shoes
• Must be 21+ for some positions
