We are looking for a professional Line Cook to prepare food according to the chef's specifications and to set up stations for the menu. The duties include assisting the executive and sous chefs with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff
- Follow instructions from the executive or sous chef
- Clean up station and manage leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure food is prepared simultaneously, of high quality, and in a timely manner
- Comply with nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook, Restaurant Cook, or Prep Cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
- Knowledge of industry best practices
- Culinary school diploma
