Job Description

We are looking for dedicated and energetic cooks with great attitudes, adept at multitasking in a high-volume fast-paced environment, and who can maintain professional relationships with staff, supervisors, and guests. A great cook is quick, diligent, and eager to improve. You should be able to follow instructions and all health and safety rules in the kitchen.

Required Duties And Responsibilities
  • Arrive on time, well-groomed, in a clean uniform for each shift.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and assist where needed.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and employee guidelines.
  • Complete all duties assigned as per the prep sheet.
  • Maintain cleanliness during the shift, including setting up sanitizing buckets.
  • Follow proper food rotation, dating, and labeling procedures.
  • Adhere strictly to recipes and procedures for food preparation.
  • Practice "clean as you go" to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Complete daily line checklists for shift readiness.
  • Work independently without constant supervision.
  • Use scales for proper portioning and calibrate thermometers and scales regularly.
  • Follow HACCP guidelines for food safety.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating deliveries.
  • Help other staff complete tasks during the shift.
  • Dispose of trash and recyclables properly.
Candidate Minimal Requirements
  • Ability to read recipes and tickets in English, and pass station certification and food safety tests in English.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred.
  • At least 18 years old.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand, bend, lift (up to 60 pounds), and work near heat sources.
  • Read recipes, prep sheets, and charts in English.
  • Measure ingredients by weight and volume.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, fryers, grills.
  • Respond to calls and communicate effectively in English.
Dress Code

Wear black, non-skid shoes, long black pants with a belt, and a Walk-On's approved BOH shirt. Hair must be restrained under a red skull cap, and facial hair covered with a beard net. Maintain a neat and conservative appearance.
