Position Classification: Part Time

Job Description

We are looking for dedicated and energetic cooks with great attitudes, adept at multitasking in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Candidates should maintain professional relationships with staff, supervisors, and guests. A good cook is quick, diligent, and eager to improve. Must follow instructions and all health and safety rules in the kitchen.

Required Duties And Responsibilities
  • Arrive on time, well-groomed, in a clean uniform for each shift
  • Maintain a positive attitude, willing to assist others
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and employee guidelines
  • Complete daily prep sheets and assigned duties
  • Set up Sani-buckets, keep work area clean during shifts
  • Follow proper food rotation, date, and label all items
  • Adhere to recipes and procedures when preparing food
  • Practice 'clean as you go' to prevent cross contamination
  • Complete daily line checklists for shift readiness
  • Work independently without constant supervision
  • Use scales for proper portioning and calibrate thermometers and scales
  • Follow HACCP guidelines for food safety
  • Assist with receiving, unloading, dating, rotating, and storing deliveries
  • Help other team members as needed
  • Dispose of trash and recyclables properly
Candidate Minimal Requirements
  • Ability to read recipes and tickets in English, pass station certification and food safety tests
  • Reliable transportation
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred
  • Must be 18 or older
Physical Requirements
  • Stand, bend, lift (up to 60 lbs), and work near heat (up to 1000°F or more)
  • Read recipes, prep sheets, and charts in English
  • Measure ingredients by weight and volume, operate scales and slicers (must be 18+ to operate slicer)
  • Respond to kitchen calls in English
  • Operate kitchen equipment efficiently to prepare food as ordered
Dress Code

Wear black, non-slip shoes with closed toes and no markings, long black pants with a belt, groomed hair under a red skull cap, and a Walk-On's approved BOH shirt.
