Position Summary

As a Cook, you will prepare menu items according to company policies, procedures, and standards. You will also perform duties to maximize guest satisfaction and maintain a quality work environment as directed by the Kitchen Manager or Manager on Duty.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to work well-groomed, in a clean uniform, and practicing good personal hygiene.
  • Using, maintaining, and cleaning all kitchen equipment and preparation areas.
  • Stocking and rotating products on the cooking line.
  • Having sufficient knowledge of stations, menu items, and prep procedures to ensure proper portioning, quality, and timing.
  • Cooking and preparing menu items per guest requests, following food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Monitoring food temperatures to reduce foodborne illness risks.
  • Communicating with management and coworkers about product, equipment, or safety issues.
Qualifications
  • Basic skills in sanitation, safety, and customer service, typically taught through in-house training.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
  • High mobility and flexibility.
  • Ability to work irregular hours under stress during peak times.
  • High coordination level.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for distances up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to fit through openings 30 inches wide.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors.
  • Continuous standing and walking.
