Job summary

Snooze South End is seeking a Line Cook to prepare Snooze menu items with top quality and care. You will help ensure safety, sanitation, and timely service while maintaining high kitchen standards.

You should have at least 1 year in the restaurant industry, a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to stand for long periods. Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour with weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of restaurant experience required; fast-paced environment preferred with 6 months in high-volume settings.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with management and team members.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and at least 17 years old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes.
• Be well-acquainted with menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and safety info.
• Prepare various items using knives, mixers, blenders, processors, scales, and bags.
• Cook foods using ovens, stoves, griddles, and broilers.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and area.
• Handle products per Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines.

The Position Specifics The Snooze Line Cook ensures that each Snooze food item is prepared with the highest quality, care, and craftsmanship. The best pancakes in all the land are in the hands of our Line Cooks. The responsibilities of this position include:

• Responsible for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served
• Responsible for being well-acquainted with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safety information
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags
• Prepares foods for service using ovens, gas stoves, griddles, and broilers
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station and working area
• Handles all products properly in accordance with Health Department standards and Snooze guidelines

• fun, energetic, eager and a committed team member.
• experienced. A minimum of 1 year of experience in the restaurant industry.
• fast paced. A minimum of 6 months experience in a high-volume restaurant setting preferred.
• able to communicate clearly with management staff.
• able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• at least 17 years of age and authorized to work in the US.

Certification Requirements

All county required food and alcohol serving certifications must be obtained prior to employment.
