Job summary

The Club restaurant at Breakers Resort in Saint Ignace, Michigan is seeking an experienced line cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, hardworking, and capable of delivering meals to order while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Responsibilities include prepping and cooking to order, following recipes, and working with the team to ensure guest satisfaction. We value reliability, strong communication, and adherence to sanitation standards in a busy year-round

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year prior experience with both hot and cold food preparation.
• Excellent communication skills and positive, team-oriented outlook.
• Working knowledge of current sanitation standards and health codes.
• Able to solve problems creatively and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare menu dishes to order in keeping with company standards.
• Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes.
• Steam, grill, boil, bake or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
• Arrange and garnish dishes so they are visually appealing.
• Check food and ingredients for freshness, labeling and rotating stock as required.
• Work well under pressure and within set time limits.
• Ensure that kitchen area, equipment and utensils are clean and organized
• Work as a team with all restaurant staff to ensure positive guest experiences
