This range is provided by Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa. Your actual pay will depend on your skills and experience — discuss with your recruiter for more details.

Base pay range

$18.50/hr

Role Overview

Opportunity: Line Cook

Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements, guest service standards, and sustainability practices.

Career Progression

Lead Cook > Sous Chef > Assistant to the Head Chef

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
  • Begin pre-prepared food items, ensuring appropriate quantities.
  • Label, date, and rotate perishables as per standards.
  • Check inventory levels, prepare for shifts, and note shortages.
  • Store unused food properly, covering and dating perishables.
  • Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
  • Follow sustainability and safety guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of related experience.
