Job summary

Avanti's is hiring for Cook workers in our Peoria, IL stores. You’ll help prepare pasta and pizza dishes, fry foods and bread, and keep your workstation clean and sanitary.

What you will be doing:

• You will play a major role in preparing all of our delicious pasta and pizza dishes.
• You will be a major factor in the cooking of our fried food and bread.
• Perform general cleaning duties to ensure that your workstation stays as sanitary as possible
• Among other duties

Who we are looking for:

• Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Extremely friendly and polite.
• Open-minded to coaching opportunities.
• At least 16 years of age.
• Previous experience is preferred but not required.

Pre-employment Requirement:

• Must consent to a background check
• Must be able to obtain Illinois Food Handler's license within 30 days of hire

Physical Requirements:

• Be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Lift, load and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Work with hot and cold food items.

This may be a position for you if you have experience with being a cook or chef.
