Job summary

Avanti's of Peoria is seeking team members to join our vibrant kitchen and commissary. You will help prepare and cook bread, pasta, and sauces daily, contributing to our fresh, store-supplied dishes.

We offer competitive hourly rates, benefits after meeting hours, flexible schedules, and meal discounts on workdays. Previous kitchen experience is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook large volumes of food per recipes.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.

• Lift and move pots, pans, and ingredients as needed.
• Assist with bread, pasta, and sauces production in commissary.

At our commissary, you will be making our delicious bread, pasta and sauces daily. You will be helping supply our stores with fresh food for our customers to enjoy every day.

What we offer:

• Competitive Starting Hourly Rates between $17.00 and $18.00 per hour.
• Benefits include Dental, Vision, Short- and Long-term Disability, and Medical Insurance. Must meet average weekly working hours threshold to qualify for benefits. Must average 20 hours per week for dental, vison and disabilty. Must average 30 hours per week for Medical. Avaialble after 90 days of employment.

What you will be doing:

• Prepare and cook large volumes of food according to established recipes and production schedules.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Follow proper food handling procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Regularly lifting pots, pans and ingredients that are over 60 pounds.

Pre-employment Requirement:

• Lift, load and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Work with hot and cold food items.
