What you get to do
  1. Coordinate production of menu items for special events.
  2. Adjust food quantities based on park guest attendance.
  3. Represent the company positively, maintaining high energy and commitment to quality.
  4. Assist in leading daily operations and special events in the absence of management.
  5. Read menus to estimate food requirements and order supplies.
  6. Oversee food delivery to event sites.
  7. Adjust oven and equipment temperatures as needed.
  8. Prepare food according to recipes for special events.
  9. Cook meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods via baking, roasting, broiling, or steaming.
  10. Add seasonings during cooking.
  11. Test foods for quality by tasting and smelling.
  12. Portion and garnish foods for serving.
  13. Provide excellent customer service, responding to guest needs.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
What it takes to succeed
  1. At least two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Basic math skills.
  4. Ability to lift/move up to 55 pounds.
  5. Ability to stand for long periods in hot or cold environments.
  6. Proficiency with hands and fingers, including reaching, handling, feeling, stooping, crawling, or kneeling.
  7. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  9. Positive interaction skills with guests and coworkers of diverse backgrounds and needs.
  10. Ability to pass relevant food handler exams.
  11. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; culinary certification is a plus.
  12. Resume required.
  13. Availability for up to 29 hours per week, including weekends, holidays, mornings, evenings, and nights.
