Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation in Norwich, VT is seeking a cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare raw ingredients, follow recipes, read tickets, and keep your station clean and sanitized in a fast-paced environment.

The schedule runs Wednesday through Sunday from 2:00pm to 10:30pm, with a sign-on bonus of $1,000 paid in stages and benefits including healthcare, food and lodging discounts, paid time off, discounts with local partners, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation preferred.
• Ability to read tickets and follow recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at all times.

• Prepare raw ingredients, and follow recipes.
• Use proper portioning techniques.
• Read tickets to determine what/when items need to be prepared.
• Clean station floors, counters, tools, cutting boards, and preparation surfaces to ensure station is clean and sanitized at all times.

Job description

Our cooks (line, saute, grill, fry) are responsible for creating that unforgettable guest experience through the proper preparation and consistency in presentation. You are responsible for top notch cleanliness and sanitation standards at all times. You will be a member of a cohesive team that supports each other’s success in a fast-paced environment. Based on experience higher starting rates out of our listed range negotiable.

Schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 2:00pm-10:30pm

Perks of the Job:

Sign on bonus of $1,000 is paid out in increments. $200 after the first 30 days, an additional $300 after 90 days and another $500 after 180 days of employment.
