Sailor is looking for a line cook to join the kitchen team of our well-regarded neighborhood bistro located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. In the last year, Sailor was named one of the best new restaurants in the country by Esquire magazine, received a rare 3-star review from the New York Times, and was included on their list of the city's best restaurants.
Sailor's is a small team that loves good cooking and is motivated to take care of one another and its guests. We are seeking like-minded individuals to join the crew. The best candidates are skilled cooks who are also organized, good communicators, and interested in learning new techniques and recipes. The position requires executing detailed work consistently while under time constraints. We believe that anyone who spends a year on our team will leave with more knowledge, better technique, and culinary know-how than when they arrived.
