Job Description

The Line Cook’s primary responsibility is to cook in our kitchen, following our Executive Chef’s specifications and guidelines to ensure total guest satisfaction. This includes:

  • Reading and following recipes and directions outlined by a chef
  • Understanding and adhering to proper DOH food safety policies
  • Being punctual and attentive to detail
  • Maintaining a positive and professional attitude with coworkers
  • Working in a fast-paced, stressful environment without losing composure
  • Standing for long periods while working
  • Performing other duties as directed
Required experience
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant (1+ years Manhattan experience)
  • Understanding of various cooking methods and cuisines
  • High-quality standards, clean work habits, and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with industry’s best practices, equipment, and procedures
  • Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands, including walking, standing, lifting heavy items, and open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
