Pietro's is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare and cook a variety of dishes, aiming to deliver high-quality meals and consistent guest experiences.

Experience as a line cook helps you manage multiple orders while maintaining a clean, efficient work environment. Responsibilities include ensuring food freshness, proper temperatures, accurate portions, and teamwork to support service during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Previous line cook experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking quality and rotating stock.
• Maintain proper storage and cooking temperatures for ovens, grills, etc.
• Season and cook food according to recipes.
• Portion food according to standard sizes and recipes.
• Keep the work station clean and sanitary.
• Follow plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
• Assist in food prep during off-peak periods as needed.
• Close the kitchen properly and follow closing checklist.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our team! You will be preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for restaurant guests to enjoy. You are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through good, quality food. With previous experience as a line cook, you can manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere.

Responsiblities

• Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
• Ensure food is stored and cooked at the correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, grills, etc
• Season and cook food according to recipes
• Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area
• Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
• Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty

Qualifications
