Description

Job Overview: As a Line Cook, you will assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef with the overall dining program and execution of all aspects of the culinary experience for the property, including daily restaurant operations, catering, and special events. The Cook will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, as well as training co-workers as needed.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to deliver vibrant menus.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed and the kitchen meets all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Apply basic cooking techniques: braising, sautéing, roasting, grilling, following recipes, ratios, portion controls, and other techniques as directed by the Chef.
  • Handle knives properly and know the correct use for each type.
  • Participate in catering for functions.
  • Assist in prep and daily kitchen setup.
  • Maintain high energy and passion during service hours.
  • Manage inventory and production efficiently.
  • Understand inventory and product controls within culinary guidelines.
  • Work in various service types (a la carte, buffet, etc.).
  • Keep the kitchen spotless and maintain proper hygiene standards, including personal grooming and food handling.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to stay positive and diplomatic in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents and team members.
  • Willingness to work in any kitchen position as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 50 lbs following safety procedures.
  • Work in various positions including stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods.
  • Work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Repeat motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.
Schedule:

Wednesday-Sunday, 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm

What We Offer:

Full-time benefits including medical, dental, vision plans, paid holidays, time off, and a 401(k) with company match. Occasional travel may be required for training and company functions.

Compensation:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
