Job Description

SSP America operates several restaurants throughout the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport located in Hebron, KY.

At SSP America, our Line Cooks play a vital role in receiving food orders, preparing dishes, and setting up the kitchen for efficient operation. They enjoy working in the Back of House.

Here are some expectations for our Line Cooks:

  • Follow recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present dishes
  • Maintain proper setup of the kitchen/station daily
  • Requisition and stock all necessary supplies
  • Handle, store, and rotate products properly
  • Maintain and clean machinery and equipment
  • Manage stock, cutting, and storage of perishables daily
  • Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists
  • Ensure quality of products served
  • Perform cleaning tasks to health standards
  • Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate:

  • Is at least 18 years old
  • Has at least one year of food service experience
  • Possesses a high school diploma (preferred)
  • Has strong communication skills
  • Can read, speak, and understand English
  • Has basic math skills
  • Holds a food handler's permit (as required)
  • Has required certifications
  • Can stand and work for long periods
