Job summary

Flower Child is hiring a Line Cook in Fishers, IN. This role offers $17.00 - $20.00 per hour for full-time or part-time work in a fast-paced kitchen focused on healthy, plant-forward dishes.

You will follow recipes to prepare food from scratch, maintain sanitation, and support a high-volume service, with weekend and some holiday availability. As part of Fox Restaurant Concepts, Flower Child provides dining discounts and growth opportunities within the brand family.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in high-volume restaurant operations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and following recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food from scratch following Flower Child recipes.
• Cook meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables using kitchen equipment.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards; work clean.
• Support busy service during weekends/holidays and fill in as needed.

What you’ll do:

• Must have 1+ year high-volume restaurant experience
• You have excellent communication skills, can stand for long periods of time, and are able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• You have an eye for detail and you’re comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Prepare food from scratch by following our recipes to produce consistent results
• Cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards. Work clean.
• Perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment
• Availability to work weekends and some holidays
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant
