LINE COOK JOB DESCRIPTION

Line Cooks are responsible for preparing, producing, and presenting all menu items.

Essential Functions

• Prepare menu items according to recipes and special requests.
• Work various hours, including weekends, as needed.
• Use and operate all necessary tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken form to follow job requirements.
• Multitask calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Work in a confined, noisy, and variable temperature environment.
• Lift up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Stand and walk throughout the shift, navigating stairs and uneven surfaces safely.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Follow portioning controls and manage par levels.
• Maintain food safety and quality standards.
• Read thermometers accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate delays or issues to the Coordinator.
• Monitor and communicate item quantities below minimum levels.
• Account accurately for all station items.
• Follow food allergy procedures and accommodate special orders.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Follow all employment policies and procedures.
• Be a team player and collaborate well with others.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
