Overview

Prepare food of consistent quality and assist in kitchen functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Prepare food following recipes and standards, ensuring quality and portion control.
  2. Start pre-prepared food items, managing quantities to avoid waste.
  3. Label and rotate perishables, maintaining proper temperatures.
  4. Check inventory levels, prepare necessary items, and assist in buffet stocking.
  5. Store unused food properly, covering and dating perishables.
  6. Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste.
  7. Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely.
  8. Maintain attendance and be available for scheduled shifts.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience

Hotel experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Finger/hand dexterity for food machinery operation.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences.
Compensation

Not eligible for tips or discretionary bonuses.
