James Beard award winner Karen Akunowicz’s South Boston restaurant Bar Volpe is seeking full-time Line Cooks to join their team. Salary starts at $20+ an hour, inclusive of kitchen appreciation tips.
Full-time employees may also receive health and dental benefits. Employees have access to monthly rotating team events such as cooking skills classes, cooking competitions, and cookbook clubs. Applicants must be able to work shifts starting at 1 pm.
Chef Akunowicz’s vibrant first restaurant, Fox & the Knife, was named Best New Restaurant in America by Food + Wine Magazine and was a James Beard Finalist for Best New Restaurant. Bar Volpe has been named Best Pasta and Best Italian by Boston Magazine. The restaurant pays homage to Southern Italy, featuring its own pasta shop and wood-fired grill. The cuisine is traditional Italian with a modern touch, complemented by a curated wine and beverage program.
You will work directly with Chef Akunowicz and Chef de Cuisine Molly Dwyer daily to create a warm and welcoming environment to work and dine. Bar Volpe features a world-class pasta program and emphasizes culinary education, celebrating the food, wine, and culture of Italy.
