We're looking for a line cook to join our kitchen at Athens Cooks. You'll prep ingredients, cook orders, and keep your station ready for service. We want someone who cares about how food tastes, works cleanly, and communicates well when the tickets start coming in.

What you'll do

• Prepare ingredients and set up your station before service.
• Cook and plate dishes consistently, following recipes and portion guidelines.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and front-of-house staff so orders go out correctly and on time.
• Follow food safety procedures, including proper storage, labeling, temperature control, and allergen precautions.
• Keep track of prep levels, flag shortages early, and help reduce waste.
• Clean as you work and help with dishes, kitchen cleanup, and closing duties.

What we're looking for

Previous professional kitchen experience is preferred, along with solid knife skills and a working knowledge of basic cooking techniques. You should be dependable, comfortable taking direction, and willing to help wherever the kitchen needs it. Knowing when to ask a question matters more than pretending you already know the answer.

Must be able to work most evenings Wednesday thru Saturday.
