Purpose:

To ensure the success of Heart-of-House operations, providing an excellent guest experience. Line Cooks prepare food from Local Smoke, Crave, SuperFreeze, and Republic according to recipes.

Role:

The Line Cook prepares batched, prep, and live orders, ensuring each dish meets high standards of quality, appearance, and overall dining experience for guests, staff, and owners.

Qualifications:
  • Understanding of professional cooking and knife skills.
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
  • Previous prep or line cook experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Availability to work any shift, including holidays.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work under pressure.
  • Problem-solving skills, self-motivation, organization, and multitasking ability.
  • Commitment to quality service and food knowledge.
  • Current Food Handlers certification.
Tasks:
  • Set up stations per kitchen guidelines.
  • Prepare food timely and hygienically per guidelines.
  • Follow recipes and presentation standards.
  • Restock items as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety at station.
  • Use and maintain equipment properly.
  • Assist in cleaning and organization of kitchen and storage.
  • Follow recipes and batch instructions.
  • Understand and apply HACCP standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by chefs.
  • Label, date, and rotate food items.
  • Report equipment issues.
  • Communicate professionally with team.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow instructions accurately.
  • Be flexible with duties.
Physical Requirements:
  • Speak and hear clearly.
  • Good vision and focus.
  • Stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to heat, cold, and mechanical equipment.
  • Moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Slip-resistant shoes required.
