Job summary

Wright Tree Service is seeking a Tree Trimmer to prune and remove trees near power lines, ensuring vegetation interference is reduced. You will work from elevated platforms and ground crews, using climbing gear, saws, and rigging to safely manage limbs and trunks.

You must follow safety protocols, maintain equipment, and sometimes supervise junior staff. Strong knowledge of ANSI standards and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months of tree trimming or clearing crew experience or successful skills assessment.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Must have First-Aid and CPR cards or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Must be able to operate and service tools and equipment used in trimming from ground or bucket.

Responsibilities

• Load vehicles with limbs and logs suitable for handling.
• Trim, remove, and/or fell trees near power lines using climbing gear and equipment.
• Work aloft and on the ground with hand saws and pruners to remove hazardous growth.
• Follow safety rules and OSHA standards; supervise non-qualified staff when qualified.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment and report maintenance needs.
