Davey Tree Surgery Co., a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, seeks an experienced Trimmer for Hudson, OH, with climbing experience and a CDL preferred. The role involves pruning, removal, and line clearance work for utility providers, in an outdoor setting.

The position offers full-time hours, comprehensive health and retirement benefits, and growth opportunities with Davey. Office is outdoors with varied daily scenery and challenging fieldwork.

Qualifications

• Must love the outdoors and be able to perform physically demanding tree work.
• Must complete Davey Tree Orientation Program after hire.
• Must complete Davey Tree First Aid and CPR and defensive driving training after hire.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• CDL-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement preferred.
• Line clearance or related tree work experience preferred.
• Licenses/certifications required by state law (as applicable).
• ISA/TCIA certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform pruning and removal work safely for major electric utilities.
• Trim treetops and remove damaged trees; clear limbs from lines and structures.
• Identify trees using industry pruning guidelines.
• Operate and maintain chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and other gear.
• Work as part of an active crew under the foreperson.
• Grow your skill and experience with Davey Tree.
