Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking an experienced climbing Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson to join our team servicing the Kinsman, OH region. Lead a 2–5 person crew to perform pruning and removal for major electric utility providers, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires line clearance experience, a valid driver’s license, and completion of Davey Tree Orientation and safety trainings. CDL-A/B preferred; union status may affect 401k eligibility.

Qualifications

• Line clearance experience required.
• Commercial driver’s license preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Must complete Davey Tree Orientation and First Aid/CPR training on hire.
• Must have valid driver’s license at start of employment.
• Experience in tree work and pruning/removal is required.
• Preferred: ISA/TCIA certifications or pesticide licenses where state law requires.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2–5 person tree crew safely while performing pruning and removal for electric utilities.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged limbs; clear debris and ensure lines are clear.
• Inspect job sites and plan tasks with proper safety measures.
• Maintain and operate equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Mentor and train new employees on site.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced climbing Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson, joining our team servicing the Kinsman, OH region.

Job Duties

Lead a2-5 person treecrew inperforming all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully formajor electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:

• Pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application oftree identificationknowledgeand industry pruning guidelines
• Perform job-siteinspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
• Mentor and train new employees

Qualifications

What We're Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain
• Required: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional
