Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking a Foreman to lead a line clearance crew in Hartwell, GA. This on-site role involves supervising operations, coordinating with utility providers, and ensuring safe, efficient work on electric lines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required.
• Pesticide/herbicide licenses may be required by state law.
• Line clearance certification near utility lines preferred.
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain.
• Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crew and manage line clearance and tree trimming for major electric utilities.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged trees to keep lines clear and safe.
• Direct crew and equipment, plan and execute assigned tasks.
• Maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Work collaboratively with Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber as part of a crew.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is pleased to offer a key opportunity in the field of Utility Line Clearance as a Foreman | Foreperson.

Job Duties

Provides crew supervision and line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers
Services provided include pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects
Directs crew members and equipment as well as planning and executing the assigned work and tasks
Responsible to supervise and assist in the proper maintenance, preparation and operation of all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts
Operates as part of a crew with supporting Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber
Ability to perform all above mentioned functions

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Driver’s license required. Commercial driver’s license preferred but not required
Certificates and Licenses if necessary
Pesticide license, if required by state law
Herbicide license a plus
Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines
ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain
REQUIRED: Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience
