Job summary

Burford’s Construction is seeking an experienced crew supervisor for line clearance projects in the Raleigh area. You will lead pruning efforts (natural and directional), coordinate crews, and ensure safe, efficient completion of work while maintaining records and communicating with customers.

The role requires 1–2 years of recent experience, English proficiency, and a valid driver’s license. CDL preferred; bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) a plus.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL strongly preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be safety conscious and trustworthy.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Broad knowledge of climbing skills and line clearance operations.
• Willing to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safe working practices following company policies and procedures.
• Schedule crews and assign their work.
• Maintain records (written and computer records).
• Lead, train, and coach team members on pruning techniques.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely.
• Coordinate and inspect crew work.
• Join storm restoration efforts when needed.
• Communicate with customers about work practices to obtain concurrence.
• Ensure safety rules are followed and PPE used properly.
• Assist in on-the-job training for climbers and bucket operators.
