Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is hiring an Equipment / Jarraff / SkyTrim Operator to support the Guernsey and Tuscarawas County regions in Ohio, including Cambridge, Dover, and New Philadelphia. The role focuses on safe operation of specialty equipment and teamwork within a utility line clearance crew.

The position requires outdoor work, a valid driver’s license, and prior mobile equipment experience with potential CDL preference. Great benefits and a robust training program are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years mobile equipment operating experience and training
• Must be able to pass a mobile equipment operations certification test
• Complete Davey Tree orientation program upon hire
• Complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Valid driver’s license required
• CDL-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement preferred
• Line clearance experience or related tree work preferred
• Relevant pesticide licenses/certificates may be required by state law
• ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Tree Worker, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Profession preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate Jarraff/SkyTrim mobile equipment on utility right-of-way
• Ensure equipment and crew safety during tree removal
• Perform duties as a crew member and support the team
• Assist in all job functions as needed by the crew
