Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Co. is seeking an Equipment / Jarraff / SkyTrim Operator to join our utility line clearance team serving Guernsey and Tuscarawas counties, including Cambridge, Dover and New Philadelphia.

You will operate Jarraff/SkyTrim equipment, uphold safety standards, and support crew duties on a full‑time, on‑site basis in Ohio. Hourly pay ranges from $22.00 to $28.00, with benefits such as health plans, retirement plans, paid leave and stock purchase opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two years mobile equipment operating experience and training required.
• Capable of passing a mobile equipment operations certification test.
• Able to complete Davey Tree Orientation Program upon hire.
• Able to complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Required: valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or related tree work.
• Preferred: pesticide licenses/certificates as required by state law.
• Preferred: ISA/TCIA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate Jarraff / SkyTrim mobile equipment on utility right-of-way.
• Ensure equipment and crew safety when removing trees on right-of-way.
• Assist in all job functions as a crew member.
