Job summary

Wright Tree Service in the United States is seeking a Tree Trimmer to prune and remove trees and brush near power lines, using climbing gear and ground tools to maintain clearance and safety.

You will work aloft and on the ground, follow safety protocols, and may supervise non-qualified staff after qualification. The position is non-exempt and requires physical fitness and willingness to travel for outages.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months experience in tree trimming or clearing work.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR and First-Aid certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Load vehicles and equipment with limbs and logs.
• Trim, remove, or fell trees using climbing gear and equipment.
• Work on ground with hand saws, pruners, and other applicable tools.
• Work aloft to cut branches and trunk sections, lowering them safely.
• Set up warning signs and control traffic to protect workers and the public.
• Maintain safety and OSHA compliance and relay safety instructions to others.
• Perform routine vehicle and equipment inspections and maintenance.
