Job summary

Schwan's Company is hiring for a full-time Production 80% Sanitation 20% role in a food manufacturing environment. Starting pay is $18.75 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential for the 3rd shift, and the team focuses on unpacking materials, mixing ingredients, assembling products, and packaging finished goods.

You will ensure compliance with quality standards, document waste, handle cleaning and sanitation tasks, and follow GMPs, USDA, OSHA rules while supporting equipment maintenance and safe

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–1 years of experience.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk on concrete floors; repetitive hand/wrist/arm motions.

Responsibilities

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble product, and package finished goods.
• Ensure products meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products and document waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues or equipment problems.
• Clean floors, fixtures, and walls using standard supplies.
• Disassemble/reassemble equipment as directed.
• Follow sanitation schedules and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line.
• Use chemicals at stated concentrations and document usage.
• Verify proper chemicals/concentrations and complete cleaning to pass micro tests.
• Work in compliance with GMP, USDA, OSHA, state and company regulations.

What You Will Do:

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble product, and package finished goods.
• Ensure that all products (from raw materials to finished product) meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products; throwing out or fixing products as necessary; writing down amount of waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns
• This position is responsible for cleaning the floors, fixtures, and walls using standard cleaning supplies as needed to maintain a neat appearance.
• Disassembling and reassembling equipment as directed
• Following sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line
• Using and documenting chemical use to stated concentrations and for appropriate applications
• Verifying and documenting that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all micro indicator test
• Perform all duties in compliance with existing USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safety regulations)

What We Look For:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Strong manual dexterity; capable of performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.
• Be adaptable to rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.
