Job summary

CJ Schwan's is hiring for a full-time production/sanitation position on the 3rd shift. You will unpack materials, assemble products, and ensure quality from raw materials to finished goods.

The role requires cleaning duties and adherence to GMP and safety standards, with opportunities for advancement. Starting pay is $18.75 with a $1.50 shift differential, plus a strong benefits package including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk on concrete floors.
• Rotating schedules including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble product, and package finished goods.
• Ensure all products meet quality standards.
• Inspect products and document waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues or equipment problems.
• Clean floors, fixtures, and walls as needed for neat appearance.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment as directed.
• Follow sanitation schedules and document routine cleaning.
• Use and document chemicals at stated concentrations.
• Verify correct chemicals and concentrations are used and cleaning is complete.
• Comply with GMPs, safety regulations, and company policies.

What You Will Do

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble product, and package finished goods.
• Ensure that all products (from raw materials to finished product) meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products; throwing out or fixing products as necessary; writing down amount of waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns
• This position is responsible for cleaning the floors, fixtures, and walls using standard cleaning supplies as needed to maintain a neat appearance.
• Disassembling and reassembling equipment as directed
• Following sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line
• Using and documenting chemical use to stated concentrations and for appropriate applications
• Verifying and documenting that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all micro indicator test
• Perform all duties in compliance with existing USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and safety regulations)

What We Look For

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Strong manual dexterity; capable of performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.
• Be adaptable to rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.
