Job summary

Qualifications

• One (1) year professional experience in a customer service environment.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays and outdoors.
• Valid driver license. Must obtain Florida driver license within thirty (30) days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Park Ranger Staff in operation and maintenance of City Parks.
• Assist Events Management and Park Ranger Divisions in operations of special events (setup, strike, trash pickup, road closures, park security, area closures).
• Assist Park Ranger Staff in interactions with patrons, answering questions, enforcing rules, and ensuring visitor safety.
• Provide information to the public regarding the natural environment and park habitat.
• Perform duties within the park including trash pickup, weed removal, restroom maintenance, minor electrical and carpentry work, facility A/V operations, lighting, stage operations, and opening/closing procedures.
• Use small equipment, drive work vehicles, complete reports, collect and report user fees where applicable.
• Provide park security and first aid services to the public.
• Perform other duties as needed when assigned by a supervisor.
• Drive to and from various city work locations to open and close facilities, provide event support, security, etc.
