City of Altamonte Springs is hiring for a Parks/Groundskeeper role to maintain City parks and ballfields. You will assist with setups, cleaning, and event support, and perform turf maintenance for programs and events. Interaction with the public is required as needed.

Preferred candidates have some landscape equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of employment. The job emphasizes safety and teamwork in a public parks setting.

Qualifications

• 3 months experience with basic landscape maintenance equipment.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and vary shifts.
• Valid driver license; must obtain Florida license within 30 days.

Responsabilités

• Assist PLM&O staff in operation and general maintenance of City Parks.
• Provide set-up and cleaning of facilities for practices, games, tournaments, and events.
• Assist with set-up and strike of special events.
• Prepare turf areas for programs, community use and events; care for turf fields.
• Ensure safe and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Provide general grounds maintenance for natural and artificial turf fields; clean dugouts and remove trash.
• Drive to/from city work locations to set up or break down events.
• Clean trucks and equipment used in groundskeeping tasks.
• Perform other duties as needed by crew leader or supervisor.
• Assist Leisure Services Department projects and events.
