Job summary

Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services – Florida Forest Service seeks a part-time OPS Park Ranger to perform maintenance duties at park sites, including restrooms, trails, and grounds. Responsibilities include cleaning, mowing, mowing and landscaping, and assisting on various projects as needed.

Occasional travel may be required, and applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Sweep floors, wipe down counters and sinks.
• Blow off areas around BBQ grills and fixed structures at trailheads.
• Brush cobwebs from pavilion rafters, under benches & tables, and on exterior structures.
• Remove ashes from BBQ grill and fire rings if needed.
• Conduct general maintenance of the site including plumbing repairs and replacement of camping or trailhead signs/kiosks.
• Remove fallen limbs, debris, and trash from grounds and dock.
• Mow, weed-eat, and perform general landscaping.
• Clean office areas, trash receptacles, and restrooms.
• Assist in other projects as needed.
