Fairstead is seeking a Compliance Manager to join our on-site property management team in New York. You will oversee compliance for a multi-state portfolio, ensure annual cycles are executed, and collaborate with residents, housing authorities, and partners to maximize economic outcomes.

Responsibilities include certications review, recertifications, and resolving discrepancies in Yardi and RealPage. You will mentor site staff, lead audits, and support leadership in achieving compliant,

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of HUD Section 8, LIHTC, portable vouchers, and market-rate housing programs.
• COS, Tax Credit, BOS, or equivalent compliance certifications preferred.
• Proficiency in Yardi, RealPage (OneSite), and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage large, multi-state portfolios.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance for an assigned portfolio across multiple states.
• Review move-ins, initial certifications, interim recertifications, terminations, and moves within tight timelines.
• Enter corrections, comments, and approvals in Yardi and RealPage (OneSite).
• Lead preparation for MORs, LIHTC and investor audits; participate in leadership meetings.
• Mentor site staff to ensure compliance with program regulations and audit readiness.
