Job summary

HANAC, Inc. in New York City is seeking a motivated Property Manager to oversee a residential portfolio that includes LIHTC, PBV, 202, and HOME units.

You will support leasing, compliance, financial administration, and tenant relations while upholding affordable housing regulations. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and the capacity to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of property management or affordable housing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of LIHTC, PBV, 202, HOME or affordable housing programs preferred.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager, Rent Café, or similar property management software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong organizational, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with certifications and recertifications for affordable housing programs.
• Support leasing, applicant screening, move-ins and move-outs.
• Maintain tenant ledgers and reconcile receipts; process rent payments.
• Review ACH payments and rent collections.
• Address tenant concerns and coordinate quarterly meetings.
• Coordinate apartment inspections and maintenance requests in Yardi.
• Communicate with housing subsidy agencies regarding abatements and HQS.
• Prepare housing court documents and attend hearings when requested.
• Maintain records and reporting on property operations in Yardi Voyager.
