Job summary

Pennrose is seeking a Compliance Auditor to monitor property management operations within an assigned portfolio with a focus on compliance with site-specific covenants and housing program requirements. You will protect Pennrose assets by maintaining ongoing compliance across properties and communicating with staff and leadership.

The role requires expert LIHTC and HUD program knowledge, 3+ years in compliance or property management, and proficiency in Yardi and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Requires expert-level knowledge of LIHTC and HUD programs (Public Housing, Section 8, HOME, and related rental assistance).
• Minimum of 3 years in compliance, property management, or a closely related field.
• Proficient with Yardi and standard Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Review move-in and recertification files for accuracy and compliance with housing programs.
• Provide training to staff to address deficiencies and reduce recurring issues.
• Prepare and timely submit reports for state housing agencies, HUD, investors, and others.
• Maintain rent matrices and update income limits, rents, and utility allowances per property.
• Collaborate with Regional Property Manager and VP of Operations to keep utility allowances current.
• Answer questions from PMs, RPMs, and executives on compliance matters.
