Job summary

Sunco Lighting Inc. in Valencia, CA, seeks a Validation Engineer II to develop, validate, and support lighting products from concept to production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, safety, reliability, and compliance, with emphasis on validation and continuous improvement.

The role focuses on testing, data-driven analysis, and collaboration to drive quality, cost, and on-time launches within an on-site schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 3–6 years of hardware product engineering, validation, or reliability testing.
• Hands-on experience with lighting test equipment (LEDs, drivers, controls, fixtures).
• Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop products that meet UL-certified safety standards and customer specs.
• Manage projects with accurate forecasting of timelines and resources.
• Maintain communication with suppliers to ensure objectives are met.
• Plan, design, and execute validation protocols for lighting products.
• Perform electrical, thermal, photometric, mechanical, and environmental tests.
• Create test setups, fixtures, and automated procedures for validation.
• Conduct root cause analysis for test failures and field returns, driving improvements.
• Prepare comprehensive validation reports and maintain traceability for audits.
