Job summary

Sunco Lighting Inc. is seeking a Validation Engineer II to drive development, validation, and support of innovative lighting products from concept through production.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, safety, reliability, and compliance, with a strong emphasis on validation, reliability testing, and continuous improvement. The role requires hands-on hardware testing experience, knowledge of UL standards, and the ability to translate test findings into design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 3–6 years in hardware product engineering, validation, or reliability testing.
• Hands-on experience with lighting test equipment and CAD tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; root-cause analysis familiarity.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate clearly with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop lighting products that meet safety standards and specifications.
• Plan, execute, and validate testing across electrical, thermal, photometric, and environmental domains.
• Lead data acquisition and analysis to identify failure modes and drive improvements.
• Create validation reports and maintain traceability for audits.
• Translate test results into design and process changes; monitor KPIs.
