Job summary

Sunco, headquartered in Valencia, is seeking a Validation Engineer II to develop, validate, and support lighting products from concept through production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, safety, reliability, and compliance standards are met, with emphasis on validation and reliability testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–6 years in hardware product engineering, validation, or reliability testing.
• Hands-on experience with lighting test equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop products meeting UL-certified safety standards and customer specs; ensure on-time launch within budget.
• Manage projects with timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Maintain daily communication with suppliers to align objectives.
• Plan, design, and execute validation protocols for lighting products (LED, drivers, controls, fixtures).
• Perform electrical, thermal, photometric, mechanical, and environmental tests for performance and safety compliance.
• Apply ALT and HAST to validate long-term reliability.
• Create test setups, fixtures, and automated procedures to improve efficiency.
• Document and report validation activities with traceability for audits.
