Job summary

Rail Events Productions Inc. is seeking a Lighting Technician/Operator for the Polar Express Train Ride in Perris, CA. The role involves installing and running lighting systems, troubleshooting, and supporting on-site crews during rehearsals and performances.

You will work with the Lighting Designer and Production team, require flexibility for evenings, weekends, and travel, and help maintain safety and artistic integrity across the live event.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience as theatrical lighting technician/electrician.
• Experience programming and operating ETC EOS/ION consoles.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends, and travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain lighting systems with the production team.
• Operate, maintain, and repair lighting throughout the event run.
• Assist rehearsals with last-minute changes and collaborate with departments.
• Support audio technicians with sound systems as needed.
• Load out and ensure space is returned to normal after the event.
• Maintain lighting designs per the director and production vision.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a positive team environment.

Job Title: Lighting Technician/Operator THE POLAR EXPRESS Train RideDivision/Department: Rail Events Production/Run CrewReports To: Production ManagementType of position: Non-Exempt/HourlyEmployee Classification: SeasonalLocation: Perris, CACompensation: $26.00/hourJob Summary:The Lighting Technician/Operator works with the Lighting Designer, production team and other on-site management during pre-production and load in to install all lighting systems in accordance with the system designs. They are responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the lighting systems during the entire run of the event. They work under the supervision of the Production Electricians and on-site managers. Because of the nature of the live event, they may be required to assist in any event related items as required.
