Job summary

Rail Events Productions, Inc. is seeking a Stage Manager to collaborate with Production Stage Management and execute THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride season in Perris, CA. You will coordinate rehearsals, record blocking, reset props, and run sound during tech as part of a two-person team.

You must handle fast-paced rehearsals, work with a cast of 50+ (including minors), and adapt to changing train conditions while ensuring safety and a positive work environment aboard a moving train.

Responsibilities

• Work with Production Staff during pre-production.
• Manage rehearsals under the Director and Production Stage Manager.
• Set up/tear down rehearsal space with a small team; record blocking; reset props; run sound during rehearsal and tech.
• Call the show and oversee cast and crew during runs.
• Ensure safety policies are followed; uphold company/railroad standards.

Job Title: Stage Manager THE POLAR EXPRESS Train RideDivision/Department: Rail Events Productions/Run CrewReports To: Production Manager & Production Stage ManagerType of position: Exempt/SalaryEmployee Classification: SeasonalLocation: Perris, CACompensation: $1,350 / weeklyJob Summary:Stage Managers work with Production Stage Management and to execute the operating season of THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride event. Stage Managers facilitate rehearsals and technical rehearsals for a cast of 50-60 performers.
