Job summary

Engineering Resource Group, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a permanent position in West Haverstraw, NY. You will design and develop mechanical architectures for lighting fixtures, managing everything from prototypes to full production release.

The ideal candidate should possess a BS in Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience, with strong skills in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and knowledge of lighting fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in lighting, fixture design, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience across the full product development cycle, from concept through production.
• Experience with architectural or specification-grade lighting products a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the mechanical architecture of lighting fixtures.
• Run structural and thermal simulations to validate integrity.
• Author and execute test plans for mechanical, optical, and electrical components.
