Job summary

Clair Global is seeking a System Designer and Estimator Rigging to translate client requirements into complete lighting system solutions. You will produce bills of materials, quotes, and narrative documents that accurately reflect the proposed rigging design and system components.

You will collaborate with sales and engineering, review RFPs, and help ensure that drawings and specifications meet project needs while balancing performance and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in design, installation, or touring/production environments.
• Strong knowledge of performance rigging and scenic systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, REVIT, and SketchUp for precise drawings.
• Experience with bid processes and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into bills of materials and quotes.
• Review RFPs and create functional proposals and narratives.
• Collaborate with sales to identify optimal solutions within budget.
• Author BOMs, quotes, and narratives for proposed solutions.
• Ensure materials and narratives are clear for clients and teams.
• Use DaVinci System Designer to verify hardware selections per project.
• Attend project meetings and review drawings for accuracy.
• Draft change orders as needed and respond to technical questions.
