Job summary

Clair Global in West Allis, WI is seeking a Rigging Design Engineer to support operations and installation teams. You will draft floor plans, reflect the ceiling, elevations, and rigging details for mounted equipment, and convert 2D drawings into 3D models to facilitate pre-sales and shop drawings in Revit.

You will develop BOMs, review material packages, and respond to field questions while collaborating with AV and lighting engineers on interdisciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in design, installation, or touring theatre rigging.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or REVIT; SketchUp experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction docs and riser diagrams; ability to read specs.

Responsibilities

• Draft floor plans, reflected ceilings, elevations, sections, and rigging details.
• Convert measurements/2D drawings into 3D models for pre-sales and shop drawings in Revit.
• Develop BOMs/hardware schedules to support procurement and staging.
• Review packages and respond to installation questions; update docs as needed.
• Collaborate with AV/lighting engineers on interdisciplinary drawings; issue change orders when required.
