Job summary

Power Design, a national lighting solutions provider, seeks an Assistant Lighting Associate to support quotation, submittal, and pricing processes. This role works closely with the Lighting Consultant and vendors to ensure accurate quotes and timely submittals.

You will gather and format documents, maintain pricing data, and hand off finalized submittals to the Lighting Project Manager for purchasing. Strong organization and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Knowledge of the lighting supply chain or construction distribution preferred.
• General knowledge of electrical contracting and lighting design.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Build, update, and maintain a bill of materials and enter accurate pricing with guidance.
• Assist in identifying information gaps and track responses from estimating and clients.
• Gather and format documents for organized fixture submittals through approvals.
• Work with manufacturers/vendors on lead times, availability, and pricing.
• Create accurate quotations for estimating while adhering to budget.
• Use external vendors and internal pricing sheets for quotes.
• Maintain quotations through approvals and handoffs to Project Manager.
• Update pricing database with vendor price sheets.
• Learn vendor products and trends related to lighting systems.
